In February this year, according to the official website of China Construction Group, the consortium of China Construction Six Bureau won the EPC project of the New Energy Vehicle Intelligent Industrial Park in Feixi, Anhui Province, with a winning bid of about RMB 1.544 billion. The project is located in Jianghuai Newport Industrial Park in the south of Newport, Feixi County, with a total construction area of about 510,000 square meters, mainly including a punching and welding workshop, painting workshop, final assembly workshop, office space, restaurant and related public auxiliary facilities. The project, when completed, will be used for Huawei and JAC to jointly develop a new generation of high-end intelligent electric vehicles in Hefei, said CSCG.
In this cooperation with Huawei, JAC reportedly clearly intends to learn from Huawei’s engineering development system and therefore opens up more flexible cooperation space to Huawei. JAC is already taking the initiative to learn Huawei’s management model, and even the whole vehicle development is following the IPD (Integrated Product Development) process.
Yu Chengdong, the head of Huawei’s smart car business, has previously said that due to high investment, costs can not come down, the car below 200,000 will lose money, so Huawei does not do the market below RMB 200,000, but in the price range of RMB 500,000, completely drive out the traditional luxury brands.
In addition to JAC, Huawei will also be launched with a number of cooperative car companies such as BAIC, Chery and other smart models.
