Hozon Automobile’s first overseas factory in Thailand, the Thai Ecological Smart Factory, officially started production of new cars. Zhang Yong, Hozon Automobile’s co-founder and CEO, and Hozon Automobile’s Thai partners BGAC CEO Wancha Tsangsong Ong Pengsu and others attended the ceremony. The first “Made in Thailand” Hozon automobile product rolled off the production line.
Hozon Automobile stated that it will make every effort to build a full industrial chain integrating R&D, manufacturing, sales, and after-sales services. As an important link in the industrial chain, its Thai factory will also become a model for new energy vehicle intelligent international factories.
It is reported that Hozon Automobile’s Thailand ecological smart factory was built by Hozon Automobile and BGAC. After large-scale production starts in the first quarter of 2024, the annual production capacity will reach 20,000 units, becoming the main manufacturing base of Hozon Automobile’s right-hand drive electric vehicles. .
Hozon Automobile debuted at the 40th Thailand Auto Show with its global models Neta GT and Neta X, and received favorable reviews. At present, Hozon Automobile has planned 7 overseas products, including sedans, SUVs and station wagons. It has also developed left and right-hand drive models, which can be sold in more than 60 overseas markets.
Since officially entering the Thai market in 2022, Nezha Automobile’s sales in Thailand have exceeded 12,000 units as of mid-November 2023. From January to October this year, Hozon Auto’s single model accounted for nearly 20% of Thailand’s pure electric vehicle market and was favored by Thai consumers.
At present, Hozon Automobile has entered the ASEAN, Middle East, Africa and South American markets. In 2024, Hozon Automobile plans to expand its global sales network to cover 50 countries and set up 500 overseas sales and service outlets to support the overseas sales target of 100,000 vehicles in the next year.
