Honor has officially launched its Honor X40 5G smartphone in mainland China. The smartphone has been launched as the latest addition to their existing Honor X lineup. The smartphone packs specifications like a Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 5G chipset, a dual rear camera setup with a 50-megapixels primary lens, 5100mAh battery and much more.

The Honor X40 5G offers a 6.67-inches AMOLED display with FHD+ 1080*2400 pixel resolution, up to 120Hz high refresh rate support, 300Hz touch sampling rate, 93.6% screen to body ratio, and up to 1.07 billion colours support. Under the hood, the device is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 5G chipset coupled with up to 12GB of RAM.

Coming down to the cameras, it has got a dual rear camera setup with a 50-megapixels primary lens and a 2-megapixels secondary depth-sensing camera. It packs an 8-megapixels front-facing camera. The device packs a 5100mAh battery with 40W fast wired charging support which can fuel up the device from 0 to 100% in a claimed to charge time of 78 minutes.

The device will boot up on MagicUI 6.1 based on Android 12 right out of the box. Additional features include a 5G network connectivity option, a USB Type-C port for charging and data transfer, WiFi, Bluetooth, Hotspot and GPS location tracking. It measures the dimension of 161.6*73.9*7.9mm and weighs around 172gms.

Honor X40 5G; price and variants

The Honor X40 5G comes in four different storage variants; 6GB+128GB, 8GB+128GB, 8GB+256GB and 12GB+256GB. It has been priced at CNY 1,499, CNY 1,699, CNY 1,999 and CNY 2,299 respectively. The device is already up for pre-orders and will be available to purchase in the country soon.
