Honor X40 GT official launch date confirmed; October 13

Honor is all set for the launch of its much-awaited Honor X40 GT smartphone. The brand has now officially confirmed the launch date for the forthcoming smartphone. Honor has further shared some renders and early posters of the device which tease and reveal some key specifications of the device. It might very well be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 5G chipset.

Honor X40 GT launch set for October 13

The Shenzhen-based business announced the launch of the new Honor X-series smartphone in its nation of origin on Weibo on Monday. On October 13, China will introduce the new Honor X40 GT. According to a teaser poster the company shared on Weibo in Chinese, the launch event will take place at 7:30 pm local time. As previously mentioned, the Honor X40 GT is expected to have a Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 SoC. The official teaser also reveals a sizable camera ring with three sensors, an LED flash, and GT branding on the back.

The Honor X40 GT is currently available for pre-order from major online retailers like Tmall, Suning, Douyin, and Jingdong as well as the Honor Mall website. However, at this time, it is unknown what the upcoming device will cost or have in terms of other specifications.

In China, the Honor X40 GT is probably going to be positioned above the recently released Honor X40. The Honor X40’s starting price for the base model with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage is CNY 1,499, or roughly Rs. 17,100. It is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 SoC, along with up to 12GB of RAM and up to 256GB of internal storage, and features a 6.67-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. A 50-megapixel primary sensor and a 2-megapixel secondary sensor are used in the dual rear camera setup on the Honor X40. It has a 5,100mAh battery and supports 40W fast charging.
