Early today, it was announced that the new Honor Play 30 5G is available for booking. The report just came a few hours back. This is a follow-up to the Honor Play 30 Plus that was released in December last year. According to the Honor website, this device has similar design aspects to last year’s model.

This year’s new Honor Play 30 5G flaunts a 6.5-inch TFT LCD display with a resolution of 720 x 1600 pixels, 269 PPI, and 16.7 million colors. The device also sports a water-drop notch and has passed the TUV Rheinland low blue light eye protection certification. It has an aspect ratio of 20:9 and also supports dark mode and e-book mode.
The Honor Play 30 is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 480 plus processor, coupled with 4GB/8GB RAM and 128GB of internal storage capacity. In terms of software, the device uses the Magic UI 5.0, which is based on Android 12. The device also houses a single camera set-up in the rear with a 13MP sensor. At the front, the device uses a 5MP shooter for selfies and video calls.
This is a 5G device that sports a dual SIM capacity, along with Bluetooth 5.1, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and a USB Type-C port.
The Honor Play 30 is also equipped with all the essential sensors like; a gravity sensor, an ambient light sensor, a proximity light sensor, and a compass. The device has a dimension of 163.66 × 75.13 × 8.68mm. It weighs only 194g and packs a 5,000 mAh lithium-ion battery.

Lastly, the Honor Play 30 5G comes in two variants, such as 4GB+128GB and 8GB+128GB. The Chinese manufacturer is yet to confirm the pricing of these variants. At present, the smartphone is for pre-orders through Honor China’s online store and leading online retailers. It comes in colors like Titanium Sky Silver, Morning Sun Gold, Aurora Blue, and Phantom Night Black.
