Honor will launch a new phone in India after a long absence. The official X account of HONOR Tech posted a post a few days ago, announcing that it will bring new news to the Indian market. Then Madhav Sheth, the former CEO of Realme India, reposted this post, confirming that he will join Honor.
According to the latest news from whistleblower Abhishek Yadav, Honor will release a new smartphone in India next month (September 2023), and the device will be locally manufactured in India.
Some netizens also expressed doubts in the comment area, thinking that this brand is just an Indian start-up company with the same name as Honor, but Madhav Sheth increased its credibility, but this statement was refuted by other netizens.
It is found that this HONOR Tech account did point to Honor’s Amazon India official store, so the possibility of being a dedicated distributor in India cannot be ruled out.
Honor’s new products in the Indian market stayed in 2020, and no new phones have been released in the country since then. Although Honor has not officially announced its withdrawal from the Indian market, in fact it has not expanded vigorously.
Indian digital blogger Technical Guruji, who has 23 million followers on YouTube, has claimed that Honor may launch the Honor 90 smartphone in India in September, though he did not reveal a specific launch date.
