The Chinese smartphone industry rolls out yet another flagship-level device, the Honor 80 Pro, and this device has a few interesting features. This device made the stage along with the Honor Magic Vs foldable smartphone, which will compete with the Vivo Fold+ and Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4. Asides from its specifications, the design of the new Honor 80 Pro is one of its strongest selling points.

On the rear end, this new device from Honor comes with a triple camera cutout that takes the shape of the number eight (8) which is very creative. The cameras in this cutout are a 160MP main lens, a 50MP ultrawide lens, and a 2MP depth sensor which work together to produce crisp images. Moving to the front is a 6.78-inch OLED screen that supports a 120Hz refresh rate with a centre dual camera cutout similar to that on the Xiaomi CIVI 2.

The dual selfie cutout holds a 50MP selfie camera and a 2MP depth sensor to help improve the picture quality. All around, this is a very impressive device in terms of design, it also comes with very impressive and eye-catching colour options. Well, the Honor 80 Pro doesn’t leave a potential buyer off with just a great design, as the device also ticks the right boxes in terms of performance.

For its processor power, this device uses the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC, and it also brings up to 12GB worth of RAM. Turning to its storage capacity, the Honor 80 Pro offers up to 512GB worth of fast ROM with full Netcom. The software here is Android 12 on MagicOS 7 and its battery capacity on this device is 4800mAh supporting 66W fast charging.

Other devices in this series are the Honor 80 and the Honor 80E, which both offer less powerful specifications than the Pro variant. All three devices will begin retail in a few weeks via the Honor official website and will retail at a budget-level price. This is one of the best-designed devices of 2022, although it comes with a controversial selfie camera cutout.
