Joining the list of budget flagship devices is the new Honor 80 GT, which just became official. This smartphone is making its debut in the Honor 80 series which became official a few weeks ago. The new SE entry comes with some design upgrades and maintains the processor on the Honor 80 Pro, whilst reducing the camera abilities.
Just like the Pro model of the Honor 80 series, this new device comes with a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor. Joining this flagship processor is up to 16GB worth of RAM, which is more than the maximum 12GB one can get on the Honor 80 Pro. For storage, this new device from Honor comes with 256GB ROM as a standard, regardless of the memory variant one goes for.

The screen size on this device is 6.67-inch, it is an AMOLED panel, and it supports a 120Hz refresh rate. The design on this new device is quite similar to that we find on the other series entry that became official in the month of November. There are three rear cameras on the Honor 80 GT and a flashlight that is also situated within the rear camera cutout.
But the shape of the cutout on the Pro, vanilla and GT model of the Honor 80 series help onlookers tell them apart. This device comes with a 54MP main camera, an 8MP ultrawide camera, and a 2MP macro camera. On the front, you have a 16MP selfie camera that sits in the centre screen cutout. All cameras on this device come with a ton of shooting modes and gets certain improvements from the Honor Image Engine.
Other features of this device include its operating system, Android 12, which gets customizations and extra features from the MagicOS 7 software. Also, the Honor 80 GT makes use of a 4800mAh battery capacity and supports 66W fast charging. The new device from Honor is currently available for purchase in China at a retail price of 3299 Yuan (~473). Available colour options on this device are interstellar black, streamer mirror, and the most impressive light rain mirror.
