GAC Honda’s new pure electric model will be unveiled at the Guangzhou Auto Show, expected to be the e: NP2 production version
GAC Honda will be opened on November 17 at the Guangzhou Auto Show to show new pure electric models. Combined with previous reports, the new car is likely to be the production version of the e: NP2 (extreme surging 2) prototype released at this year’s Shanghai Auto Show.
Honda has previously confirmed that it will launch the e: NP2 production car in 2024, and plans to launch 10 purely electric vehicles by 2027; by 2035 it will achieve 100% of pure electric vehicle sales.
As a reference, the GAC Honda e:NP1 (Jiepai 1) pure electric model was officially launched in June this year, offering CLTC range 420km and 510km versions, and 175,000-218,000 yuan after comprehensive subsidies.
The e: NP2 prototype car is based on Honda pure electric vehicle exclusive intelligent and efficient pure electric architecture e: N Architecture F” build. In terms of appearance, the new car is developed by Honda’s localization team in China, adopts the forward-looking design concept of e:N Design, and also adopts the through-type taillights.
In other aspects, the new car will also be equipped with the new generation of Honda CONNECT 4.0 intelligent technology, power parameters and other information is unknown, it is expected to adopt the e: NP1 similar design.
