Car companies usually choose to recall sold products after discovering vehicle problems, but recalls of millions of dollars like Honda’s are still relatively rare.
According to foreign media, the coaxial cable of the Media Oriented Systems Transport (MOST) of the recalled vehicles has problems with improper design and manufacture. When this cable fails it can cause the screen to flicker, there can be popping or crackling noises, and the biggest problem is that the rearview camera can be cut off while in use.

In this regard, Honda’s solution is to replace the cable for the recalled vehicle and install a correction cover to ensure that the display can be used normally. At present, Honda has notified dealers of the news and will start notifying relevant car owners in late July.
As of publication, there is no relevant recall information on the website of the State Administration for Market Regulation, so it is impossible to know whether Honda’s decision involves the Chinese mainland market.
