Happy Hacking Keyboard (HHKB) today announced the launch of the HHKB Studio keyboard, priced from $329.
According to reports, HHKB Studio is a redesigned all-in-one keyboard, designed by HHKB Studio in cooperation with Huge Design LLC. It is equipped with a pointing stick in the center of the keyboard, a mouse button under the space bar, and two sides on the left and right sides of the keyboard and on the front. There are four gesture pads. The gesture pad can perform operations such as scrolling the screen and sliding to switch windows; the speed of the pointing stick can be adjusted in 28 levels.
According to reports, HHKB Studio is the first product in the series to use linear mechanical axes. The English model uses a 63-key layout, a key travel of 3.6mm, a pressing pressure of 45g, and also supports hot swapping.
This keyboard supports Bluetooth and wired connectivity via USB Type-C, and can be used with up to 4 devices. The keyboard runs on 4 AA batteries, which last about 3 months.
