In the just opened 25th Chengdu International Automobile Exhibition, Haval ushered in a new energy model: Haval H-DOG. in addition, the previously released Haval H6 Super Hybrid DHT was also unveiled at this exhibition.
Haval is driving into the new energy track at full speed, and Mu Feng, president of Great Wall Motor, said at the Haval new energy strategy conference on August 22: “As the largest vehicle section of Great Wall Motor, Haval will usher in a comprehensive transformation of new energy. This will be a milestone for Haval, and moreover, the firmest step taken by Great Wall Motor on the road to comprehensive transformation to new energy, marking the full-scale launch of Great Wall Motor’s new energy strategy.” At the auto show launch, Haval brand CEO Li Xiaorui reiterated, “Haval will take the new positioning of ‘new energy SUV expert’, focus on the new track, comprehensively accelerate the new energy transformation and reshape the new energy market pattern.”
At the auto show, Haval’s new energy family, led by the Haval H6 Super Hybrid DHT twins, made a full appearance on stage.
According to the introduction, Haval sent the Haval H6 Super Hybrid DHT to China’s authoritative testing institution, China Automobile Research Institute, to do four extreme challenges. Among them, the PHEV model of Haval H6 Super Hybrid DHT had a final range of 1178 kilometers after 43 hours of non-stop driving in the “temperature difference of 100 degrees challenge” test.
The battery of the third generation H6 Super Hybrid DHT was also subjected to three major safety challenges beyond the national standard: extrusion, fire and water immersion, all of which were successfully completed. The reason why Haval H6 Super Hybrid DHT dares to challenge these extreme tests is mainly that it is equipped with Haval’s new “core protection armor” power battery.
On August 22, Haval’s third-generation H6 DHT model was officially launched at 149,800 RMB, and Haval H6 DHT-PHEV opened for pre-sale on the same day, with the 55km version pre-sale price of 168,800 RMB and the 110km version pre-sale price of 176,800 RMB. Officially, Haval H6 Super Hybrid DHT won 6000+ orders in just 3 days.
In addition to the strategic HAV H6 Super Hybrid DHT, the third new vehicle under the dog category, HAV H-DOG, also made its global debut at the show. Officially, this vehicle is the first electric hybrid SUV of 3/4 degree and the first plug-in hybrid SUV in the field of light off-road, which can meet users’ demands of “urban, wild and electric” in all scenarios.
According to the official introduction, Haval H-DOG adopts a new tide wild power aesthetic design, maintaining the rugged off-road style in exterior and interior design, while also through some refinement, the car is over 4.7m long and the wheelbase is over 2800mm.
HAVAL H-DOG adopts 1.5T + DHT-PHEV powertrain, total torque up to 530N・m, total power up to 240kW, also equipped with BorgWarner intelligent electronically controlled four-wheel drive system, as well as 2 differential locks + 9 all-terrain modes professional off-road configuration, other information about the car has not been officially announced.
