The Great Wall’s Haval brand has a new car to meet with you. In the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) announced today on the “Road Motor Vehicle Manufacturing Enterprises and Products Bulletin” (No. 373 batch), Haval previously previewed the new model B26 through the declaration.
The car adopts a boxy shape with large bumpers and lower surrounds, complemented by roof racks and black wheelbars, revealing a very obvious hardcore off-road flavor.
In terms of dimensions, the car is 4,800mm long (4,680mm without the rear spare tire), 1,916mm wide, 1,822mm high and has a wheelbase of 2,738mm, which still puts it in the category of a compact SUV.
As for the “small bag”, there are also two forms to choose from. One is an external spare tire, which is common in hardcore off-roaders, and the other is a rounded rectangular storage box.
It’s worth noting that the Haval B26 offers a wide variety of alternative names. According to the filing images provided by the MIIT, the vehicle is available with Havalong, Havalong Xianglong, Havalong WeiLong, Havalong Big Dog Pro, Havalong Thunderbolt, and as many as five alternative names for the rear logos.
In terms of power, the new car will use the Haval Hi4 intelligent electric hybrid four-wheel drive system, matched with a turbocharged engine with a displacement of 1.5 litres, with a maximum power of 123kW, but the motor parameters and battery capacity are not yet disclosed.
The Hi4 intelligent electric hybrid four-wheel drive system has launched two sets of powertrains:
- 1.5L hybrid special engine, matched with the front axle motor code-named DHT 70 and the rear axle motor code-named P4, the maximum power of the two motors is 70kW and 150kW respectively.
- 1.5T hybrid special engine, matched with the code name DHT 80 front axle motor and code name P4 rear axle motor, the maximum power of the two motors are 80 kW and 150 kW respectively.
