Recently, we learned that the Tank 700 will officially start pre-sale on January 30. During the Guangzhou Auto Show last year, the pre-sale price of the first limited edition was announced, which was 700,000 CNY. This time, the pre-sale price of the regular version is expected to be announced.
The appearance design of the Tank 700 is very hard-core, and the entire vehicle adopts a mecha-style design. The front of the car has a strong sense of hierarchy, with round light groups inside the headlights and horizontal decorations on the upper and lower grilles, giving the whole a retro feel. Information from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology shows that the car’s approach and departure angles can reach 32 (30) degrees and 33 degrees respectively.
On the side, the Tank 700 has tough body lines, and the expanded wheel arches bring a stronger sense of strength. Declaration information shows that the new car will provide a variety of wheel rim styles to choose from, and will also provide electric side steps. In terms of size, the length, width and height of the new car are 5090 (5113)/2061/1952mm respectively, and the wheelbase is 3000mm.
Coming to the rear of the car, the Tank 700 uses a side-opening tailgate and will provide a spare tire cover with an integrated rear camera. The car’s taillights and rear turn signals adopt a split design, and the details are relatively exquisite.
As for the interior, this car still adopts the luxurious style of the tank series. The interior of the real vehicle we shot is covered in red, with a large area of metal guard plate, which is very unique. The car supports five-screen linkage, including LCD instrument, floating central control screen, HUD head-up display, etc.
In terms of power, this car is equipped with a 3.0T+9HAT powertrain. The 3.0T V6 twin-turbocharged engine is matched with a P2 motor. The engine has a maximum power of 265kW, a comprehensive power of 385kW, and a comprehensive torque of up to 850N·m. The car’s intelligent four-wheel drive + Mlock mechanical locking system has also been upgraded. The cast housing of the front and rear differential locks uses an aluminum reducer housing with higher strength and better wear resistance. Its front and rear drive shaft assemblies are upgraded to BorgWarner’s 6-planetary gear mechanism, which increases torque output by 16% compared to 4-planet gears.
