Great Wall Motors’ official Weibo announced that the 100,000th vehicle in 2023 at Great Wall Motors’ Jingmen Factory has officially rolled off the assembly line today.
According to reports, this is Great Wall Motors’ first high-end off-road manufacturing base, and the model that rolled off the production line this time is a Tank 500 Hi4-T. It can be inferred from the background plate in the official picture that the factory is also responsible for the production of Great Wall’s pickup models King Kong Cannon and Shanhai Cannon, SUV model tank 400 Hi4-T, and the new Haval H5 and MPV model Weipai Alpine.
According to previous reports, the new Haval H5 model also rolled off the assembly line at this factory in mid-July this year, and the car is expected to be launched in the fourth quarter.
The Tank 500 Hi4-T model was launched in June this year, priced at 335,000 RMB. The car is equipped with a 2.0T+9HAT powertrain with a combined system power of 300 kW and a combined torque of 750 N·m. The engine has a maximum power of 180 kW and a maximum torque of 380 N·m; the motor has a maximum power of 120 kW and a maximum torque of 400 N·m.
The Tank 500 Hi4-T uses a 37.1 kWh battery with a WLTC pure electric range of 110 km. It can achieve a fed fuel consumption of 9.55 L/100km, a comprehensive fuel consumption of 2.2L/100km, and a maximum cruising range of 790 km.
In terms of off-road performance, the Tank 500 Hi4-T has 11 driving modes including standard, sports, snow, mud, and sand, and supports 3.3kW external discharge and 2.5-ton towing qualifications.
