Gurman: All Apple iPhone 15 series support Dynamic Island and switch to USB-C interface

The Internet is full of revelations about the iPhone 15 models, and some of the information has already made our ears calloused. However, there is still “old news” about the iPhone 15 model. Bloomberg News Mark Gurman (Mark Gurman) reported that all iPhone 15 series support the Smart Island function.

Gurman said in today’s Power On newsletter that the iPhone 15 series will offer the same four screen sizes as the iPhone 14 series, which means Apple will launch a 6.1-inch iPhone 15, a 6.7-inch iPhone 15 Plus, a 6.1-inch The iPhone 15 Pro and the 6.7-inch iPhone 15 Pro Max. Following in the footsteps of the Apple Watch Ultra, Gurman previously suggested that the iPhone 15 Pro Max could be named the iPhone 15 Ultra.

The Dynamic Island is a pill-shaped area at the top of the iPhone display that replaces the notch on previous models. With the help of software, the island can morph into different shapes and sizes to display real-time activity, system alerts and other information.

Display analyst Ross Young previously claimed that Dynamic Island would be available on all four iPhone 15 models, a rumor that is now backed up by Gurman.

Gurman said that, as widely expected, all four iPhone 15 models will come with a USB-C connector instead of Lightning, a more commonly adopted charging standard that offers faster data transfer speeds than Lightning.

Gurman also confirmed some rumors that the iPhone 15 Pro model will feature a titanium frame with tactile volume buttons. Two new haptic engines inside the device will simulate the sensation of a button being pressed, rather than physically moving, similar to how the iPhone SE’s Home button and the newer MacBook trackpad work.
