After landing in Thailand and Malaysia, Great Wall Motor held a signing ceremony with SQ Group’s Huijhong Auto in Manila, Philippines yesterday to formally reach a partnership to jointly develop the Philippine market. According to the agreement, the two sides will explore channel construction and service models around the characteristics of the Philippine auto market.
The person in charge of Great Wall Motor Philippines said that Great Wall Motor will continue its product category focus strategy, layout SUVs, pickup trucks and other advantageous categories and flagship models in the Philippines in the future, and launch a product matrix covering a variety of energy power and with high intelligence.
In February this year, Great Wall Motor released its ASEAN strategy, planning to gradually start the regular operation in Malaysia, Philippines, Vietnam and Singapore on the basis of the market operation in Thailand, Brunei and Laos, to form a strategic layout of ASEAN market and accelerate the implementation of Great Wall Motor 2025 globalization strategy.
Great Wall Motor said it has built a completely new energy product matrix of HEV, PHEV and BEV in the Thai market. In July this year, Great Wall Motor officially established its Malaysian subsidiary.
