At the opening of the twenty-fifth Chengdu Auto Show, Great Wall Motor’s Tank brand officially released the “off-road + new energy” technology line and off-road super hybrid architecture. Two production hybrid models based on the off-road super hybrid architecture, the Tank 300 HEV and the Tank 500 PHEV, were unveiled together.
Among them, the Tank 300 HEV version is equipped with a 2.0T Miller cycle engine and 9HAT transmission, with 224kW maximum power and 640N・m maximum torque.
With the support of an electric motor, Tank 300 HEV will reduce the fuel consumption in congestion. According to the official data of Tank, the fuel consumption of Tank 300 HEV is reduced to less than 10L per 100km under WLTC conditions and less than 9L under city conditions.
In addition, the Tank 500 PHEV plug-in hybrid version is equipped with a 19.94kWh battery, which achieves a maximum combined power of 300kW and a maximum combined torque of 750N・m with a 0-100km/h acceleration time of 6.6 seconds with the 2.0T+9HAT powertrain.
According to the data, the Tank 500 PHEV can achieve a combined WLTC fuel consumption of 4.4L/100km on a full charge and a combined driving range of 736km. The Tank 500 PHEV plug-in hybrid version can also support 0.5 hours fast charging and 3 hours of slow charging and has 3.3kW external discharge power.
The Tank 300 HEV and tank 500 PHEV plug-in hybrid versions will be opened for global pre-sale within this year. Tank brand said, “electric tank” is also the direction of the layout of the tank brand, tank brand in the battery, motor and electric control and other areas of active research and development reserves, will soon put “electric tank” to the market.
