GPD WIN Max 2 is available on AMD Raider 6000 or Intel Alder Lake platforms

GPD has just revealed the specifications and pricing of the WIN Max “handheld gaming PC”, such as the AMD Raider 6000 series and Intel Alder Lake mobile CPU platforms, available to consumers. Earlier in the day, officials teased an Indiegogo crowdfunding campaign on Twitter. Similar to the AOKZOE A1, the GPD WIN Max 2 is available with 128GB ~ 2TB hard drive options and offers a 4G LTE module.

GPD WIN Max 2 Key Features.

● 10.1-inch bezel-less, blue light filtering eye protection screen

6061 aluminum-magnesium alloy / all-metal CNC body

● Optional Intel Core i7-1260P or AMD Rex R7-6800U processor

● Iris Xe with 96EU / Radeon 680M with 12CU core graphics (both with 768 shaders) respectively

● Optional 16/32GB of LPDDR5 memory (5200 or 6400 MT/s format)

● Dual PCIe 4.0 M.2 slots (optional 2280 or 2230 SSD form factor)

● Bluetooth 5.2 + Wi-Fi 6 wireless network support up to 2402 Mbps

It also comes with a large scroll fan dual heatpipe cooler, a fingerprint sensor and 4G LTE mobile internet module, built-in quad speakers with surround sound support, and Windows 11 Home Edition pre-installed.

The analog joystick uses an anti-drift Hall sensor solution and is complemented by a QWERTY keyboard with two levels of adjustable backlighting and an external graphics card docking station via Thunderbolt 4.

The GPD WIN Max 2 measures 160 x 227 mm, but is slightly thinner than the 117 x 298 mm Steam Deck.

It has a 90% screen-to-body ratio, 1920×1200 resolution (2560×1600 optional), 299 PPI pixel density, 400 nits brightness, and covers 80.2% DCI-P3 color gamut.

With the optional AMD R7-6800U low-voltage mobile processor, it has a maximum acceleration of 4.7 GHz, a large 67Wh built-in battery, and support for 100W PD fast charging.

An SD / microSD card reader is available, as well as HDMI 2.1 video output, four USB 3.2 Gen 2 ports, and a 3.5mm headphone/microphone combo jack.

Clearly, after 5~6 years of experience, GPD has become more mature in hardware design. Not only is the form factor suitable for mobile gaming and office use, but the grip also claims to be better than competing products.

For those who are interested, please visit GPD’s official website or Indiegogo homepage to see more details of WIN MAX 2.
