Google sent an email to users over the weekend, once again reminding users that the official will be on 1 December 2023 to clean up dormant accounts that have been inactive for 2 consecutive years.
Google email part of the content is as follows: “for the current dormant account, we will clean up the account before you will be contacted by email or other ways, since the first notice issued, the user has at least 8 months to activate their account”.
The easiest way to keep your Google account active is to log in at least once every two years. As long as you have accessed your Google account within the last two years, it will be considered active and will not be deleted.
Other ways to keep your account active include reading or sending emails, using your Google Cloud Drive, downloading apps from the Play Store, using Google Search and watching YouTube while logged in, sharing photos, or using third-party services using Google Single Sign-On, and more.
