Google CEO Sundar Pichai revealed in an interview with the Wall Street Journal that the tech giant plans to incorporate conversational AI into its search engine, as it has done with its main rival Microsoft.

According to him, users will have the opportunity to ask Google questions and interact seamlessly with the LLM “Large Language Model” in search.
While Microsoft has already introduced ChatGPT into Bing, it’s not hard to imagine Google adopting this technology to have a more significant impact on the world, considering Google’s 93.4% share of the global search industry.
Pichai said he believes AI chat is an opportunity to expand the company’s search business, rather than a threat to its existing business. He noted that the potential for growth in this area is even greater, indicating an optimistic outlook for the future.
