Google announced a series of new accessibility features on May 18, “Global Accessibility Awareness Day” to help people with disabilities use devices better.
According to Google’s official introduction, the new accessibility features will apply to other services such as Google Chrome and Android devices, including real-time subtitles. This summer, Google will expand the availability of Live Caption to more Android devices and users. (Note: Real-time subtitles will support French, Italian and German).
The new accessibility features will also support describing some images, and users can ask multiple questions about the images; in Google Maps, the wheelchair usage function for the disabled has been updated, and the disabled can more easily find wheelchairs in Google Maps; Google Chrome can also detect typos in URLs and give suggestions for corrections; Talkback can analyze Google Chrome tags and support sorting, reorganization, etc.
