Google releases official images of the Pixel 8 series ahead of October 4 launch

Google had previously announced that it would hold a hardware conference on October 4. Today it released two preview videos, showing the new products to be released at this conference, including the Pixel 8 series and Pixel Watch 2 and new Pixel Buds Pro headphones.

In the preview video released by Google today, only showed the coral (pink) Pixel 8 and sand-colored Pixel 8 Pro models.

It was previously reported that Google will launch two combinations of 128GB and 256GB for Pixel 8 in the European market, with a total of four colors: light brown, black, rose red and mint green.

 128GB is priced at €874.25 (incl. 23% VAT), €710.77 excl.

 256GB is priced at €949.30 including 23% VAT, or €771.79 excluding tax.

Google will launch three storage options for the Pixel 8 Pro: 128GB, 256GB, and 512GB. There are four colors: Bay (not sure what color this is), black, porcelain white, and mint green.

 128GB is priced at €1235.72 (incl. 23% VAT) and €1004.65 excl.

 256GB is priced at €1309.95 including 23% VAT, or €1065 excl.

 512GB is priced at 1461.24 Euros including 23% VAT, or 1188 Euros excluding VAT.

The Pixel 8 Pro price will be equipped with a Tensor G3 processor. The front will be equipped with a 6.7-inch Samsung OLED display with a resolution of 2992×1344, supporting a 120Hz refresh rate, and a brightness of 1600nits (not sure if it is the peak brightness). The pixel density 490PPI.

In terms of imaging, Google Pixel 8 Pro has a 50-megapixel GN2 main camera on the rear + a 64-megapixel IMX787 ultra-wide-angle lens + a 48-megapixel GM5 telephoto lens, and a 10.8-megapixel 3J1 lens on the front.


Pixel Watch 2

According to the device catalog page, Pixel Watch 2 is equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon W5 chip, which will have a significant performance upgrade compared to the original Exynos 9110.

In terms of memory, the Pixel Watch 2 will retain 2GB of memory. The screen will use a circular 1.2-inch AMOLED screen with a resolution of 383 x 384 pixels and a screen density of 320 ppi.

In terms of system, Pixel Watch 2 is equipped with WearOS 4 system based on Android 13. Notably, the Samsung Galaxy Watch 6 and Galaxy Watch 6 Classic are the first Wear OS 4 smartwatches.

There are three models of Pixel Watch 2, namely G4TSL, GC368 and GD2WG. Among them, G4TSL is a model that supports Bluetooth/Wi-Fi and has four straps to choose from: plastic movable strap, metal mesh strap, metal chain strap and metal thin strap.


Pixel Buds Pro

At the press conference held on October 4 this year, in addition to launching the Pixel 8 series of smartphones, Google will also bring two colors: Porcelain and Sky Blue to the Pixel Buds Pro headphones.
