Google last changed its Google Play Store icon in 2016, and according to 9To5Google, the store is about to get a new icon with a minor change from the current one.

As you can see by comparing the top and bottom images, the new Google Play Store icon also features a triangular and four-color block design, but with more rounded corners and a darker look.

According to reports, the new icons are already online in GPay and Google Pay, and it is unclear when the official update will take place.
IT House has learned that Google introduced new icons for Chrome in February, removing shadows, optimizing proportions and brightening colors to simplify key brand icons in line with Google’s more modern brand expressions. It’s unclear if the new Google Play Store icon is for the same purpose.
