The Google product launch event is barely weeks away, but, a recent leak has shown off the retail box for the coming Google Pixel Watch. From the retail box or packaging, we can see that this coming smartwatch has some Fitbit involvement. On the box is a bold write-up “with Fitbit” so we can expect the Pixel Watch to share some similarities with a flagship Fitbit smartwatch.
As we already know, Google plays a role (software) in the production process of Fitbit smartwatches. Also, the company sells Fitbit watches via their official store alongside other Pixel products. So it is not a shocker to see that Fitbit also took part in the development process of the coming Pixel Watch.

The major role that the smartwatch manufacturer will play here will be regarding the hardware of this watch. Google remains the major player in the software of the coming Pixel wearable device with WearOS. So, the general quality of the coming smartwatch from Google will be quite similar to that we see on regular Fitbit smartwatches like the Versa and Sense.
But despite this collaboration between Google and Fitbit as shown by the leaked retail box, there are still questions regarding the design of the coming wearable. The internet is currently swarming with leaks and renderings of the coming Google wearable. Most of these leaks are showing off the watch with fat and unappealing bezels, prompting some to write off the coming Pixel wearable. But, come October 6 we will get a clearer picture of the design and features of the Google Pixel Watch.
