Just a month ago, we got the first official look at Google’s upcoming Pixel series smartphone at the Google I/O 2022. It was surprising that Google provided an official look at the device so early. But it seems like we are getting more, thanks to an early prototype of the Pixel 7 that showed up on eBay, earlier today.
An eBay listing popped up today for sale. The seller is claiming the device to be a prototype of the Pixel 7. The listing was taken down shortly after it.
The product shown in the listing seems to feature the Obsidian Black color. It is a complete device with a glossy back and the new metal camera module that was previously shown by Google. The product also features a logo but it looks like an updated logo compared to the previous Pixel models.
This new eBay listing hasn’t shed much light on the upcoming device as Google has already shown the official design of the device. The only detail confirmed by the listing is that the Pixel 7 will lose the matte black frame of the Pixel 6 in favor of a textured metal frame in terms of design. The presence of the mmWave antenna window was revealed by a leak but now, it is confirmed by the listing image.

The funny part about the eBay listing is that due to the glossy back of the Pixel 7, we can see that the seller is taking photos with the Pixel 7 Pro in the reflection. The distinct camera bump design helped us to confirm it.
The listing said that the smartphone is already running Android 13 and Pixel apps that are in the development stage. The listing also provided a quick peek at the storage of the listed device, which is 128GB.
