Google Pixel 7 Pro shows up on score sites: performance at bottom of Android flagship lineup

The Google Pixel 7 Pro is now available on Geekbench, a high-end flagship powered by the Google Tensor G2 chip, with a single-core score of 1068 and a multi-core score of 3149. Geekbench scores are around 1100 single-core and 3500 multi-core, while the Snapdragon 8+ scores around 1300 single-core and 4300 multi-core.

As such, the Google Pixel 7 Pro is at the bottom of the performance class in this year’s Android flagship camp, due to the fact that it uses the Google Tensor G2 which does not have a sky-high performance boost compared to its predecessor.

The Google Tensor G2 is said to consist of two Cortex X1 mega cores, two Cortex A76 mega cores and four Cortex A55 small cores, built on Samsung’s 4nm process, with a CPU performance increase of just about 10%.

Notably, the Google Tensor G2 GPU has been upgraded from the previous generation’s Mali-G78 to Mali-G710, which offers a performance boost of around 20%.

Also, the Google Pixel 7 Pro comes with 12GB of RAM, which will be officially released on October 6 this year.
