Google today through the “Made by Google” official Twitter account, officially announced that it will release the Pixel Fold on May 10th.
In just 8 seconds of video, the full picture of the Pixel Fold phone is shown. The back of the fuselage adopts the Pixel series design language, and the camera part adopts a strip-shaped protrusion with 3 cameras.
It was previously reported that the rear cameras include a 48-megapixel main camera with f/1.7 aperture, a 10.8-megapixel telephoto lens with five times optical zoom, and a 10.8MP ultra-wide-angle lens with f/2.2 aperture.
Pixel Fold uses 12GB of LPDDR5 memory, and there are two storage versions of 256GB and 512GB, priced at $1,799 and $1,919.
The video reconfirms the previous report that Google’s Pixel Fold foldable phone is equipped with a Tensor G2 chipset, which is better than the Pixel 7 series thanks to Samsung’s improved 5nm process.
The Pixel Fold phone has an external screen of 5.8 inches with a resolution of 2,092 × 1,080; an internal screen of 7.6 inches with a resolution of 2208 × 1840. According to reports, both the internal and external screens use OLED panels with a refresh rate of 120Hz.
The video claims that Google will open pre-orders for the Pixel Fold phone on May 10 and start shipping at the end of June.
