Google launched its MusicLM model in January this year, which generates various types of music based on text content. Google has continued to improve its algorithm and can now create 5-minute songs based on a small text description.

Google officials say the new algorithm has been trained on 280,000 hours of recordings and is able to generate 5-minute songs based on text, and that the content generated is closer to that of a human composer.
Google also invited a group of listeners to evaluate MusicLM, and the final results showed that the MusicLM algorithm outperformed similar algorithms in all respects.
Nevertheless, the algorithm still has a long way to go before it can create a full song. Currently, MusicLM is unable to pinpoint the exact structure of the musical composition and the resulting songs are clearly distinguishable.
