Google recently sent an email to some users, indicating that it may launch the Find My Device service on April 7 or 8.
In this email, Google introduced the core advantages of the Find My Device network:
The device is mainly bound to join the new Find My Device network and can be tracked and located even if it is offline and powered off.
Users can also receive notifications and find Fast Pair accessories once they are disconnected from the device. This includes compatible headphones, as well as trackers that can be attached to your wallet, keys or bike.
Google says it will launch the network “within 3 days”:
After 3 days, you will receive a notification on your Android device when the feature is turned on. Before then, you can visit the web version of Find My Device to choose not to participate in this event.
Developer Mishaal Rahman revealed that Google has quietly opened the Find My Device network, but did not send relevant notifications to users.
