Microsoft Research Institute principal researcher Kate Crawford recently released a tweet, said Google launched a chatbot Bard in the training of the data set, call the Gmail data.
I hope this response is wrong, otherwise Google would have broken the law.
Google’s Workspace responded, saying that Bard was an early experiment and would make mistakes — and confirmed that the model was not trained using information collected from Gmail.
“As more and more people start using Bard and testing features, they will surprise us, for sure,” CEO Sundar Pichai said in an email to all employees that day. Mistakes will happen. But user feedback is critical to improving the product and the underlying technology.”
