Google announced for Chrome brought 4 new mobile features, including the use of Chrome on mobile devices to get search suggestions, view popular themes and so on.
Google also announced a new “download experience” for its desktop browser, removing “Downloads” from the toolbar on the right side of the address bar and moving the bottom “Download Bar” to this “bubble”. The download bar at the bottom has also been moved to a “bubble” window. This change is effective immediately for macOS, Windows, and ChromeOS devices.
Google says the update is designed to make it easier for users to interact with recently downloaded files, but it’s very inconvenient for Chrome users who are used to the previous style, causing a lot of complaints from users.
Existing users have found that we can restore the previous style by configuring the settings in the configuration file. You can follow the steps below:
- First, type chrome://flags/#download-bubble in the address bar.
- Set the option to “Disabled”.
- Then restart Chrome
