Google Chrome 119 Stable Browser New Feature: Shows Memory Usage Per Tab

Google released the Chrome 119 stable version of the browser earlier this month. One of the noteworthy improvements is the breakdown of the memory occupied by each tab.

Users only need to hover the mouse over the tab, and the “Memory Usage” introduction will automatically pop up.

Of course, Google Chrome’s new tab feature isn’t as powerful as the built-in task manager and doesn’t display detailed information about running processes, tabs, and extensions. You can only check Google Chrome’s tab performance by hovering your mouse over the tabs and manually close the tabs that take up the most resources.

If you don’t see this feature, go to Chrome://flags, enable “Memory usage on hover”, and then restart the browser.

It was previously reported that the Chrome 119 stable version focuses on improving browser stability, adding save, restore and synchronization options to tag groups, and deprecating and deleting WebSQL and Permission Suggestions Service setting options.

According to Google’s official update log, the Chrome 119 stable version has fixed a total of 15 vulnerabilities, 3 of which are rated as “High”, involving inappropriate implementation in Payments, insufficient data validation in USB, and integer overflow issues in USB. .

Google Chrome 119 includes many new features and improvements. For example, the browser’s tab group feature now supports saving, recalling, and syncing tabs.

Chrome 119 also introduces IP protection, designed to prevent websites from tracking users.
