Global ODM / OEM TV shipments reached 45.4 million units in the first half of the year

Global ODM / OEM TV shipments reached 45.4 million units in the first half of 2022, up 0.5 percent year-over-year but down 8 percent from the first half of 2019 before the new crown outbreak, according to Taiwanese media outlet Electronic Times.

ODM / OEM TV shipments in Latin America, the Middle East and Africa grew in the first half of 2022 compared to last year, while ODM / OEM TV shipments in North America and Western Europe declined 18 percent and 9 percent year-over-year, respectively, in the second quarter of 2022. Among TV manufacturers, TPV Technology ranked first with 6.5 million units shipped in the first half of 2022, up 0.2 percent year-over-year, primarily due to Eastern European shipments of orders from Sony and Xiaomi.

MOCAP ranked second with 6.0 million units shipped, up 32 percent year-over-year. Changhong shipped 3.8 million units, up 14 percent year-over-year, while Tsinghua Tongfang shipped 3.5 million units, down 20 percent year-over-year, mainly due to a reduction in orders from Xiaomi.
