Global AI PC shipments are expected to exceed 13 million units in 2024

According to the latest research released by Qunzhi Consulting yesterday, with the continuous advancement of algorithms and hardware, the application of AI technology on the PC side will become more extensive and efficient. The agency believes that computers that can provide hybrid intelligent learning and reasoning capabilities with integrated software and hardware can be called AI PCs, such as PC products that combine Intel’s 14th generation Meteor Lake CPU and Microsoft’s Windows 12 system.

According to Qunzhi Consulting’s forecast, with the release of AI CPU and Windows 12, next year will be the first year for large-scale shipments of AI PCs. Global AI PC shipments are expected to reach approximately 13 million units that year.

Then in 2025-2026, AI PC shipments will continue to maintain an annual growth rate of more than double digits and become a mainstream PC product type in 2027. The above prediction also means that the global PC industry will “steadily enter” the AI era in the next five years.

At present, some major hardware manufacturers have made similar statements. It was previously reported that Intel CEO Pat Gelsinger said in August this year that its upcoming Meteor Lake 14th-generation Core processor will usher in the era of AI PCs (artificial intelligence computers).

Pat Gelsinger said on the previous Q2 earnings call, “We believe that Intel is well-prepared to seize this emerging growth opportunity.” “Importantly, we believe that AI PC will be a key factor in the PC market in the next few years.” A critical turning point, rivaling the importance of Centrino and Wi-Fi.”

In the first half of this year, HP CEO Enrique Lores said in an interview with CNBC that AI is subverting the PC business and HP will meet various challenges in this wave. He also revealed that HP will launch a new PC as early as 2024. Data that takes professional analysts several hours to gain insight into can be easily obtained by ordinary users in a very short time.
