Now, some netizens broke the news that the GeForce RTX 40 series graphics cards have brought a substantial improvement in the performance of games and applications, even doubling the performance of the RTX 30 series. Earlier, the @QbitLeaks whistleblower also posted a spy photo of the so-called Founders Edition of the RTX 40 series.
Although @QbitLeaks did not explicitly mention which RTX 40 SKU comparison this data comes from, there have been previous rumors that the RTX 4090 / RTX 4080 will bring at least double the performance improvement over the previous generation RTX 30.
However, the whistleblower revealed that the data does not come from the flagship SKU, so the possibility of RTX 4080 is higher, which can also be confirmed by NV’s display of the second picture during the GTC conference (RTX 4080 is close to 4090).
6 games and 3 productivity apps are listed on performance metrics, including Control, Metro Exodus (Enhanced), Minecraft, Quake II RTX, Dying Light 2″, and “Cyberpunk 2077”.
It’s unclear what exact settings the game will run on, other than that it uses 4K resolution and every game has RTX ray tracing turned on. As for Deep Learning Super Sampling (DLSS), the whistleblower speculates that it is not enabled here.
Referring to the previous running points, the above games all have unique N card bonuses, and most of the performance can be improved by 2 to 2.2 times, and the “Minecraft” light pursuit version has skyrocketed by 80%.
