Located in Wuhan Economic and Technological Development Zone (WEDZ), the Rutgers Global Smart Factory covers an area of 1,526 mu with a total investment of more than RMB 8 billion and is the first factory in the world to use 3D digital twin technology for planning, design and construction of all processes.
As the world’s leading ultra-high-end smart car production base, the new plant will manufacture three models of pure electric smart cars, including Eletre, and sell them worldwide.
It is reported that on August 31, 2021, Rutgers Technology held an online inauguration ceremony and settled in Wuhan Economic and Technological Development Zone to start the construction of the global headquarters of Rutgers Technology in the form of “cloud construction”. 19 November 2021, Rutgers launched the last pure fuel sports car Emira during the Guangzhou Auto Show.
