The Galaxy E8, Geely Galaxy’s first model based on the SEA architecture, is scheduled to be released in the fourth quarter of this year. It is reported that this model will debut the world’s widest 45-inch 8K unbounded smart screen, and will be the first to be equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon 8295 flagship chip and Geely’s new car-machine system.
The Geely Galaxy E8 has completed the declaration of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. The overall shape of the car can be said to be in line with the previously unveiled “Galaxy Light” concept car. It adopts the aesthetic design style of ripples and has the body posture of a coupe. According to previous official disclosures, the new car is positioned as a medium-to-large pure electric flagship sedan, and it is planned to start delivery this year.
In terms of body size, the new car is 5010mm long, 1920mm wide, 1465mm high, and has a wheelbase of 2925mm.
The new car provides optional hardware such as roof lidar and camera for intelligent driving, as well as appearance options such as rims, rear spoilers, and front bumpers.
In terms of power, the car is equipped with a motor provided by Wei Rui Electric Vehicle Technology (Ningbo) Co., Ltd., with a maximum power of 200kW and a top speed of 190km/h. However, according to the car’s “pure electric flagship” positioning, the possibility of launching a dual-motor four-wheel drive model in the future cannot be ruled out.
