Garmin Vivosmart 5 fitness tracker launched with OLED display, energy monitoring

Garmin officially launched the Vivosmart 5 fitness tracker, and the device is currently available in the U.S. market. It includes a variety of features, including energy monitoring for the body battery, stress tracking, and respiration. It also features hydration tracking and a fitness age feature. Additionally, customers receive tracking capabilities for women’s health. The device is also capable of monitoring heart rate, sleep, and blood oxygen levels. According to the company, the Vivosmart 5 can run for up to seven days on a single charge. The fitness tracker is compatible both with Android and iOS devices. It also features a much large OLED display compared to its previous models.

Vivosmart 5 specifications

The Vivosmart 5 features a rounded band design and a 66 percent larger OLED screen than the earlier models, measuring 0.41″ x 0.73″ and features a resolution of 88×154 pixels.

Additionally, there is a safety as well as location functionality for picked outdoor activities that enables you to transmit assistance notifications to your emergency numbers via text message at the touch of a button, including your current location as determined by the linked phone’s GPS.

The Garmin Vivosmart 5’s other high points entail smart alert notification for calls/SMS/apps, and 5ATM resistance to water, which means you can wear it while swimming or showering. Garmin claims the Vivosmart 5 will last for up to seven days without blood oxygen monitoring while sleeping, but does not specify the battery size.

The case of the Vivosmart 5 is made up of Polycarbonate. Interchangeable straps are constructed using silicone.

Vivosmart 5 price and availability

The Vivosmart 5 is currently available for order in the United States at a price of $149.99. There are two sizes to choose from: small and large. While the small model is available in Black, Cool Mint, and white, the large model is available only in Black. You can choose the straps between small, medium, and large, depending on your needs and preferences. The first two weigh 24.5 grams each, while the third weighs 26.5 grams, making it slightly heavier. No official announcement on the availability of the fitness brand in India yet.
