After Microsoft’s acquisition of Activision, the future was a bit unclear for the fans, especially for the Call of Duty fans. Paired with the fact of last year’s Call of Duty Vanguard failure, the concerns were genuine. Now, it seems like all those worries and concerns were in vain as Activision has announced Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. The game was announced with a cinematic trailer which was followed by a 7-min gameplay trailer that was released earlier today.
So, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is back and it looks better than ever. Not only the name of the game looks familiar but a fan will easily recognize some of the characters as well. It is a direct hit of nostalgia.

At the Summer Game Fest 2022, Activision announced Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. Earlier today, the developers dropped a trailer for the game that features a gameplay mission from the upcoming game. The mission takes place on a ship where we got a look at the game’s fast-paced shooting style.
This was one of the most impressive, Call of Duty trailers ever. The first thing to notice is the Dynamic Weather. It is interacting with the game and the players. As per the devs, the players are supposed to plan the moves according to the changing environment. The gameplay also shows the ship moving. As the ship moves, all the cargo moves along with it, making characters move in and out of the cover.
Last but not least, the gameplay trailer features more than a few iconic characters. There was Simon Ghost Riley, John Soap MacTavish, Captain Price, and Alejandro.

Call of Duty always has an October release date. Similarly, October 28th, 2022 has been set for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. At the moment, the game is available for preorders. Those who are going to preorder the game immediately via the official Call of Duty website will get free early access to MW2.
