Galax today announced its first PCIe 5.0 SSD, the HOF EXTREME 50, with sequential read speeds of up to 10GB/s.
The Galax HOF EXTREME 50 1TB version has a sequential read/write speed of 9500/8500 MB/s and a random read/write speed of 1300,000/1100,000 IOPS; the 2TB version has a sequential read/write speed of 10000/9500 MB/s and a random read/writes speed of 1500,000/1250,000 IOPS. In the following, with the performance iteration upgrade, the sequential read/write speed will also reach 12GB/s.
The HOF EXTREME 50 SSD is equipped with DRAM LPDDR4 / DDR4 cache and uses the industry’s most advanced 232-layer NAND flash memory. Phison’s first PCIe 5.0 host is used, and it uses the new ECC algorithm technology and the fifth-generation LDPC error correction capability.
