Fujifilm’s new flagship camera X-H2s goes on sale: supports 6K video shooting, $16,700

At the end of May, Fuji released a new flagship camera X-H2s. today, X-H2s officially opened for sale, the body price of 16700 yuan, the body + 128G Lexar CF Express Type B super high-speed card + original battery price of 18499 yuan.

According to the introduction, the camera is equipped with a new 26.16 megapixel stacked “X-TransTMCMOS 5 HS” sensor that reads signals four times faster than the current model, and the high-speed “X-Processor 5” processing speed is twice as fast as the current model. The processing speed of the high-speed “X-Processor 5” is twice that of the current model.

Equipped with an improved autofocus system, the X-H2S can shoot up to 40 frames per second and, thanks to newly developed subject recognition autofocus technology, can even shoot 6K / 30P and 4K / 120P video. It also offers a wide range of features, including five-axis in-body image stabilization with up to 7.0 stops of compensation effect, a rugged magnesium alloy body, hardware that incorporates operational improvements from the previous model, and various interface options such as a new card slot for CFexpressTM Type B cards.

IT House has learned that the camera features a new sensor and processor, paired with expanded internal memory capacity, which dramatically increases the number of frames that can be recorded continuously during continuous shooting. When using the electronic shutter, the camera can continuously shoot more than 1000 frames at a maximum speed of 30 fps in JPEG and 20 fps in RAW). The EVF uses a high-resolution 5.76 megapixel electronic viewfinder with a magnification of 0.8 and a refresh rate of approximately 120fps.

With the new sensor/processor, Fuji says the camera is capable of internally saving 4:2:2 10bit video at 6K / 30P, recording HD video, while retaining a large amount of color information. It also supports high-speed 4K/120P video recording, where the instantaneous action of fast-moving subjects can be rendered in smooth slow motion and fine detail.

The X-H2S supports three Apple ProRes encoding modes; ProRes 422 HQ, ProRes 422 and ProRes 422 LT. When recording ProRes, the X-H2S also supports proxy recording such as ProRes 422 Proxy, simplifying the entire workflow from shooting to post-production.
