Fugu15, the imperfect jailbreak tool for Apple iOS 15, released

Earlier this October, Linus Henze demonstrated the Fugu15 jailbreak on an iPhone running Apple’s iOS 15.4.1. This non-perfect jailbreak featured a new installation method. Now, Henze has released the Fugu15 jailbreak tool for compatible iPhone models running iOS 15.

The Fugu15 jailbreak tool is currently supported for download on the GitHub page, but this is mainly for developer users. This is because there are no jailbreak tweaks for iOS 15 or iPadOS 15 due to the lack of a tweak injection library, and this is where the Odyssey Cheyote jailbreak is experiencing delays.

The Henze’s Fugu15 is a non-perfect and permanently signed jailbreak application that supports some arm64e devices. In addition to this, it is also possible to run Procursus bootstrap through the Sileo package manager. the non-perfect jailbreak, which does not require a computer to jailbreak. However, every time the device is rebooted, the user has to perform a jailbreak. Since the Fugu15 jailbreak for iOS 15 has a CoreTrust vulnerability that supports code signing bypass, the signature is indefinite.

Tasters can install the jailbreak tool by using Safari on an iPhone running iOS 15, or by using Xcode on a Mac. As mentioned earlier, the Fugu15 jailbreak for iOS 15 is for developers and is not compatible with existing tweaks programs and is not very useful for the average person. In addition to that, the Fugu15 jailbreak is full of buggy bugs. henze shared the list of devices that have been tested with the jailbreak tool.

iPhone Xs Max: iOS 15.4.1

iPhone 11 (SRD): iOS 15.4.1

iPhone 12 (SRD): iOS 15.4.1

iPhone 12 Pro Max: iOS 15.4.1

iPhone 13: iOS 15.1 (offline version, with WiFi bug)

Only arm64e devices are compatible with this jailbreak tool, such as iPhone XS with A12 chip and newer models are supported. henze is aware of some bugs and they will be fixed soon. There is no information on when the final version of the Fugu15 jailbreak for iOS 15 will be released.
