The French Commercial Court in Paris recently ruled that Apple had abused its App Store power and fined the company $1 million (about 6.98 million yuan), citing Reuters.
The court found that Apple had imposed unfair App Store terms of business on French app developers. The ruling builds on a multi-year investigation by the French consumer affairs and fraud regulator (DGCCRF), which is overseen by the French Ministry of Finance.
In a statement, Apple said it will investigate the court’s ruling and will continue to work with French developers. The company also said it believes in a “vibrant and competitive marketplace” where innovation can flourish.
