Framework focuses on modularization, repairability and upgradeable experience. The company recently launched Framework Mainboards, a motherboard equipped with Intel’s 11th generation Tiger Lake processors, which can satisfy users in building desktops and DIY project needs, starting at $199.



The official said in a blog post that when the company was doing business with Compal, it found a batch of finished and semi-finished motherboards pre-installed with Intel’s 11th-generation processors in the latter’s factory. After the Framework was tested, it was sold for $199 starting price for sale.
The original price of the Framework Mainboard motherboard equipped with Intel Core i5-1135G7 processor is 449 US dollars, and the current price is 199 US dollars;
The motherboard price of the Core i7-1165G7 model has dropped from $699 to $299;
The price of the Core i7-1185G7 model motherboard has dropped from the previous $1,049 to $399.
These boards support 64 GB of DDR4 memory, PCIe 4.0 storage, and four USB 4 ports, among other things. The boards also come with heatsinks and fans, but no external case.
