Ford is located in the United States of America, Michigan Rouge Electric Vehicle Center (Rouge Electric Vehicle Center, REVC) in the shutdown of renovation and expansion six weeks, announced today that the resumption of production will continue to produce the F-150 Lightning pickup truck.
Ford CEO Jim Farley tweeted that the renovation and expansion will allow the REVC plant to reach 150,000 units per year this autumn, three times its previous capacity.
Jim Farley says he will meet consumer demand and deliver F-150 Lightning pickups to pre-order customers as soon as possible.
Ford announced in July this year that it was lowering the price of its popular F-150 Lightning electric pickup truck, with all models getting adjusted to varying degrees.
The lowest trim level, the Pro model, was reduced from $59,974 to $49,995, a 16.6% drop. The top-of-the-line Platinum model has been reduced from $98,000 to $91,995, a 6.2% drop.
