Some configurations of Changan Ford’s Ford Mondeo have been optimized, mainly involving the 2.0T model, and the performance of the 2.0T engine has been improved.
The new generation of Mondeo adopts Ford’s latest “potential aesthetic” design style. The hexagonal grille on the front face is decorated with “scale”-like elements. It also has an active closing function that can automatically adjust according to vehicle speed and heat dissipation needs. The headlights of the new car adopt a split design, which is consistent with other new Ford cars. The headlights use LED light sources inside and have intelligent functions such as automatic headlights and adaptive high and low beams.
It is noticed that in this configuration adjustment, the 245 Luxury model has canceled the option of the breathing 3D scale grille, while the 245 Extreme model has added the function of heating the front seats. In addition, the entire Mondeo series no longer offers the option of Paak smartphone keys, burning sports calipers and indigo blue paint color options.
The Mondeo’s interior design is simple and stylish, very similar to the Ford Light Chaser. The most attractive thing is the 12.3-inch LCD instrument and the 27-inch large screen. The two screens are connected to form a 1.1-meter-long giant screen. There are also a lot fewer knobs and buttons in the car. It is worth mentioning that Mondeo is designed by Ford China Shanghai Design Center.
The 27-inch large screen has a 4K resolution and is built-in Ford’s new generation SYNC+2.0 intelligent mobility interconnection system. It uses Qualcomm Snapdragon 820A automotive-grade processor and supports full-screen map display, as well as voice interaction and gesture control functions. In terms of entertainment, the system has built-in applications such as iQiyi, QQ Music and Himalaya. The co-pilot can also enjoy entertainment content alone through Bluetooth headsets without affecting driving safety.
In terms of power, the Mondeo is equipped with the same 2.0T engine as the Ford Edge. Its maximum power reaches 187 kilowatts and the peak torque is 393 Nm. It is matched with an 8-speed automatic transmission.
