Fitbit officially announced that it will remove Challenges, Adventures and Open Groups from the Fitbit app starting March 27.
The Fitbit said the reason for removing the above three features is because the user activity is not high compared to other products.
Challenges.
Provides a way for Fitbit users to compete against each other, for example, to see who completes a challenge first.
Adventures.
Users take virtual walks around the world when they go for a walk.
Open Groups.
The Verge reports that some groups have millions of members, and after March 27, Fitbit users will still be able to create closed private groups.
Fitbit has also made some changes that will affect third-party app developers. It will shut down its Fitbit Studio tool, but will continue to allow developers to make dials and apps using the command-line SDK.
