Mozilla’s JavaScript team recently published a performance comparison between the Firefox browser Firefox and the Google browser Chrome on the Are we fast yet website.
The Mozilla team said that the Firefox browser has been continuously adjusted and optimized. In the SunSpider benchmark test, it has been ahead of the Chrome browser for two consecutive months.

Note: SunSpider is a synthetic benchmark test that mainly tests JavaScript performance. Its performance metrics are measured in execution time (in ms), where less time means faster.
However, in JetStream 2 (from Apple), another measure of JavaScript performance, although the Firefox browser has also improved, the gap with the Chrome browser has basically remained unchanged.

In addition, in the Speedometer running score that measures JavaScript throughput, the performance of the Firefox browser shows a downward trend, but the results slightly exceed the Chrome browser.
