Firefox today ushered in version 111.0 update, bringing native notifications and a better experience for Windows users.
Firefox, like most web browsers, supports push notifications from a website to the user. In previous versions of Firefox, notifications would be pushed in the form of small windows, which would disappear after staying for a period of time, and users could not view historical notifications.
After the update, notifications will be displayed on the notification center page of Windows 10 and Windows 11, and will call Windows’ native notification styles and sound effects.
Additionally, Firefox 111 adds two new features:
Firefox Relay users now have the option to create a Relay email mask directly from the Firefox Credential Manager (must be logged in with the same Firefox account).
Two new locales have been added: Silhe Friulian (fur) and Sardinian (sc).
